TURSA delivers an exciting and unique program through Workforce Australia – the Transition to Work program. Tailored specifically for young individuals like you, we build the program around the focus of “Your Voice, Your Choice”.
Our Transition to Work program aims to provide the guidance and support you need to overcome challenges, discover your path, and secure a job that aligns with your aspirations. Finding a job can be a challenge. It can also be overwhelming to know where to begin. TURSA delivers the Transition to Work program to help you navigate those challenges and create opportunities to find direction, and ultimately, a job that is right for you.
Transition to Work is delivered in the Brisbane South East region with offices in Woodridge, Beenleigh, and Capalaba and is specifically designed for young people aged between 15 and 24.

Your plan starts by getting to know you, your needs and your wants.
Your Youth Adviser will chat with you, get to know you, and learn about some things you are good at, your interests, and your hobbies. The goal is to identify the things you can do and build from there.
Of course, we like to have fun too and we like to keep it interesting, so expect us to be hands-on. Let’s discover the possibilities that can be opened up for you.
The Fun Stuff
Don’t worry if you find your goals and wants change a little as you learn new things. We will adjust your plan to meet your new goals. This plan is about making sure your new job will be the right fit for you and, you will be the right fit for your new job.
The great thing is, you can trust TURSA. We have years of experience helping young adults find jobs, we know how to support you, encourage you, and work with you to establish your skills, confidence, and career goals.
Through our employer connections, we measure success by having you gain sustainable employment, then providing you with ongoing support until you are settled and comfortable in your new role.
TURSA Transition to Work Support Program
We start with a chat. What are your needs right now? What are your interests, hobbies and what would you really like to achieve.
You may have questions, and we are here to listen and help. This is all about discovering what will work best for you.
We'll build a plan with you, taking you from where you are now to where you want o to be, focusing on keeping it exciting and fun. We'll define your goals and the times to achieve them.
Offering practical workshops and short courses to develop workplace skills, including communication, problem solving and teamwork as an example. This training, combined with work experience placements and links to other community services, will help build your knowledge and confidence.
We will constantly review your progress and realign your goals to match your skills to a suitable job and employer. Assist you in developing your interview and resume skills to guide you towards the job you want.
Support you towards sustainable employment and for a further 26 weeks after you start work, we will be there to help you overcome any concerns.
