How Our North Lakes Team Works With You
In North Lakes, our Disability Employment Services team works closely with each participant, operating on a participant-centred model, where personalised support is at the forefront. We understand that each person’s path to employment is unique, and as such, we tailor our approach to meet your specific needs.
Getting to Know and Understand DES Participants
Our experienced and qualified Disability Employment Advocates initiate a thorough consultation process with participants from the outset. This process is focused on gaining an understanding of your strengths, abilities, current skill set, potential skills, and employment aspirations. This initial consultation serves as the foundation for crafting individualised job plans and strategies.
Maintaining Open Two-Way Communication
Communication between our North Lakes DES team and participants is done with openness and transparency. We prioritise ongoing dialogue, mutual respect, and empathy throughout the journey. Participants are actively engaged in the decision-making processes concerning their employment plan, ensuring that it remains aligned with their evolving needs and goals.
Providing Opportunities Based on Your Potential
We place a strong emphasis on leveraging participants’ strengths, abilities, and untapped potential. This enables us to offer the right support, ranging from job-readiness training and resume preparation to facilitating connections with potential employers. Even after placement, we continue to provide on-the-job support for up to 52 weeks, ensuring a smooth transition into sustainable employment.
TURSA works collaboratively with participants, offering guidance, resources, and support to help them realise their employment objectives. Our commitment to dignity, respect, and mutual cooperation underscores every step of the participant’s journey, reflecting TURSA‘s dedication to empowering individuals to achieve success in the workforce.
