You may qualify for DES if you:

Are an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or hold an eligible visa
Are of working age (usually 14-65)
Are receiving Centrelink payments, such as the Disability Support Pension (DSP),
JobSeeker Payment, or other support allowances
Are not currently studying full-time (some exceptions apply)
Can work a minimum number of hours per week with support

How is Eligibility Assessed?

Centrelink assesses eligibility through an Employment Services Assessment (ESAt) or a Job Capacity Assessment (JCA). This helps determine the type and level of support you need. If you already receive payments through Centrelink, you can ask to be referred to TURSA.

Yes! If you’re not registered with Centrelink but still need employment support, you can contact TURSA directly to discuss your situation. We’ll help you understand your options and guide you through the process.
