Getting to Know and Understand DES Participants
From the outset, TURSA’s experienced and qualified Disability Employment Advocates engage in a consultation process with each participant. This consultation focuses on understanding the participant’s strengths, abilities, current skill set, potential skills, and employment goals.
Maintaining Open Two-Way Communication
Communication between our Kippa-Ring DES team and participants is characterised by openness, respect, and empathy. We advocate for ongoing communication, ensuring that participants are consulted and involved in decisions about their employment plan every step of the way. As participants progress, our disability employment services evolve to continuously meet the needs of their goals.
Providing Opportunities Based on Your Potential
At TURSA, we focus on strengths and abilities as the heart of our approach as well as potential. This will help us provide the right, individualised support, from job-readiness training, resume preparation, to liaising with potential employers. Once a job is secured, we continue to provide on-the-job support for up to 52 weeks, ensuring a smooth transition into employment.
